4 months ago Be among the first 25 applicants The Forklift Operator is a key position within the Yard and is responsible for operating and maintaining the forklifts. The position works with Dispatch to build loads accurately and efficiently, and provides key support to other Operators, Drivers, and our customers. Position Responsibilities Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to Build loads accurately and in a timely fashion. Handle and package materials with care and without damage. Maintain forklifts - doing regular checks and following guidelines. Work as a member of the team, helping other Forklift Operators, Dispatch, Drivers, and others. Load and unload trucks as needed with a forklift. Keep a clean and safe yard. Put stock away. Provide assistance to customers in the yard. Have a knowledge of the product. Prioritize safety requirements and processes. Qualifications Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work both with a team and independently. Strong simple math skills. Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
