A degree in Agronomy would be a plus, but is not required, but would like to see some experience and knowledge and passion in soils, drainage, fertilizer, and pushing the envelope for increased yields and seeking improvement. The position offers a wide variety of work and tasks throughout the year. Currently has a newer heated shop with air conditioning for maintenance and equipment upkeep in the off months. Looking for an individual that will work as a team or ability to work independently from the owner who is young and progressive. The farm also continues to grow in multiple areas as they also have a drain tile business, does custom application of 25K+ acres/year, custom manure application business of 30-40 million gallons per year, so any experience, desire, or assistance in these multiple areas would be a huge plus and/or learning would be incentive for increased responsibility, wage increases/incentives and are open for negotiation. Great location for schools, family and long-term stability. Pay is based on salary and incentives/bonus for production, performance, and results. Ideal person would have skills and strengths in multiple areas, ability to also mentor and train additional young people as our operation continues to grow. Salary will be negotiated and will depend on experience in multiple areas, overall stability, and references provided.
