Employment Law Associate
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Employment Law Associate with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join a growing and collaborative legal team. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in employment law, client counseling, and compliance, along with exceptional communication and analytical skills.
Advise and counsel clients on a wide range of employment-related matters, including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour issues, and wrongful termination claims.
Provide guidance to employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Draft, review, and update employment agreements, handbooks, and workplace policies.
Conduct workplace investigations and deliver employee training sessions.
Assist with labor relations and collective bargaining matters (if applicable).
Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client management.
Contribute to business development and client relationship initiatives.
Basic Requirements
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active bar membership in Massachusetts .
Minimum of 3 years of employment law experience , ideally within a law firm environment.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client service abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or coursework in related areas such as landlord-tenant, environmental, or securities law.
Demonstrated negotiation skills and the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
Familiarity with litigation processes and procedures.
Prior experience working in a fast-paced legal office environment.
