Pay Rate: $25.50 - $32.50 Per Hour

Overview:

Join our team as a diesel tech 2, for Carvana in University Park, IL

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose (using diagnostic equipment) and perform general preventative maintenance and DVIR for all heavy equipment
Perform scheduled repairs and resolve issues uncovered during inspection
Changing brakes, Adjusting steering systems, replacing parts, fixing complex electrical issues, changing hydraulic components, changing tires according to TIA guidelines
Use welders, torches and plasma cutters to weld or fabricate broken parts
Maintain accurate and proper records for all repairs performed on our fleet using our software
Use diagnostic equipment to pull fault codes and follow OEM diagnose trees to accurately diagnose equipment

Requirements:

1+ year experience with class 8
Must have a Valid Driver's License
Must have your own tools to complete daily tasks, specialty tools will be provided by Carvana
Types of tools required: Sockets, wrenches, screw drivers
INDOOR Shop
Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping/pushing and/or pulling in an environment that be cold, hot, noisy & wet & may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance
Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet
Ability to communicate and interact with others effectively and in a professional courteous manner
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both written and oral
