Job Description and Duties

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: vacuuming carpeted areas, dust mop and remove stains from floors, empty all waste baskets into dumpster; clean sinks, appliances, fixtures, exterior of ventilator grills, ceiling ducts, inside and outside windows, counters and walls; and dust throughout the command.

Clean Restrooms: sweep, mop and remove stains from floor; clean mirrors, stalls and doors; clean toilet bowls/urinals and wash basins; clean soap dispensers, paper holders and fill as needed; and clean plumbing fixtures and check for needed repairs.

General grounds maintenance duties: including watering and maintaining ornamental plantings; replace light tubes as needed and keep parking lot free of debris; and sweep sidewalks. Ensures the facility and surrounding grounds are kept neat, clean, and in good repair to reflect favorably upon the Department.

Maintain the inventory of janitorial supplies and restroom products. Other job related duties within the scope of the classification as necessary.
