Job Title: ESL Curriculum Designer Location: Remote Job Description: Summary: Yorktown Systems Group is seeking a knowledgeable ESL Curriculum Designer to create educational course materials. The Curriculum Designer’s responsibilities include identifying the needs of a target audience, defining learning objectives, designing content and assessments, and refining the curriculum based on feedback. Our ideal candidate has a solid understanding of pedagogical methods, curriculum standards, and instructional technology. They should be able to create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances knowledge retention. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to: Identify the learning needs of a target audience Define course objectives that align with these needs Develop instructional material, including interactive online content, videos, and assessments Collaborate with subject matter experts and team members to ensure content accuracy and relevance Design assessments to measure learner progress and the effectiveness of the curriculum Revise and refine the curriculum based on feedback and assessment results Stay current with advancements in instructional technology and industry trends Job Requirements: Required Qualifications: 10+ years proven work experience as a Curriculum Designer, Instructional Designer or similar role Excellent knowledge of ESL learning theories and instructional design models Proficiency in curriculum design software and learning management systems Experience creating content for various instructional formats (e.g., interactive modules, videos) Strong writing skills and a keen eye for detail Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment BS or Master’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, or similar field Compensation & Benefits: Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. provides an outstanding benefits package that enhances the well-being of our employees and their families. The annual salary is anticipated to be GS-12 equivalent.
