Our client, the Seattle office of an Am Law 100 firm with a national presence and a global reach, is seeking a talented and driven Construction and Design Associate with a minimum of 3 years of construction law/litigation or government contracting experience to join their team. The Associate will engage in a wide variety of legal work representing public and private owners, general contractors, and engineers with pre-project planning and risk assessment, contract drafting, claim management and preservation, and litigating disputes.
The Associate will draft and review construction contracts, including design-build, general contractor, and subcontractor agreements, and will assist clients with risk assessment and pre-project planning to ensure legal compliance and minimize exposure. The firm represents public and private owners, general contractors, engineers, and developers across the construction and design industry.
The ideal candidate will manage complex construction litigation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) matters. This is an opportunity to work with industry leaders in construction law on complex matters. Working closely with clients to develop strategies for managing project risks and avoiding disputes, this role is client facing. A minimum of 2-to-3 years of experience in large-scale construction law is required. J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in Washington State required. Compensation includes salary ($205K-$235K) plus robust and attainable bonus and benefits package.
