Overview

Pottstown Division , a division of the H&K Group, Inc. is looking for a Concrete Laborer for heavy civil and highway construction projects.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

• Performs all work according to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Takes directions well
• Reasonable knowledge of concrete materials, workability, finishing, finishing equipment and curing
• Reasonable knowledge of concrete paving formwork and doweling systems and assembly
• Influences and enforces company values. Recognizes misalignments with company values and culture and rectifies
• Performs all other duties of crew members as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving
• Ability to travel as required for projects
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

 

  Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

• 2 years of relevant experience and/or training
• Experience operating heavy equipment used in highway construction
• OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
