Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Chemical Mixer to join our customer's manufacturing team. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of their production processes, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, physically capable, and committed to maintaining high operational standards.
Local to the Bedford Park, Il area.
Job Qualifications Include:
2+ years of prior experience in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Basic computer skills for data entry and monitoring systems.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods.
Capable of lifting heavy objects and performing physical tasks such as climbing and crouching.
Comfortable operating tools and machinery in a production environment.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Chemical Handling & Monitoring
Store, retrieve, mix, and monitor chemicals used in production.
Record detailed information including ingredients, weights, and temperatures.
Safety & Compliance
Report accidents, safety violations, and operational concerns promptly.
Operate in compliance with OSHA, DHS, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
Wear appropriate safety gear and follow all safety protocols.
Process Operation & Equipment Management
Operate production equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Monitor critical data and accurately enter it into computer systems and SOP forms.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and take corrective actions as needed.
Handle shift maintenance tasks, including repairs or initiating emergency service.
Communication & Collaboration
Maintain clear and consistent communication with other shift operators.
Provide daily updates to management regarding plant status and operational issues.
Collaborate with team members to complete production tasks efficiently.
Security & Off-Shift Responsibilities
Ensure plant security during off-shift hours, adhering to all DHS requirements.
Provide safety backup and assistance to fellow operators as needed.
Continuous Improvement
Assist in planning and implementing process improvements.
Support efforts to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Temp to Hire
$20 - $25 an hour
2nd shift
6:30 pm - 4:30 am
