Job Summary:

The Cardiac Telemetry Nurse delivers direct nursing care in line with established protocols and strives to enhance patient care quality and life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply medical-surgical nursing standards to elevate patient care quality.
• Build effective relationships and advocate for patients and their families in developing personalized care plans.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care effectively.
• Consider all dimensions of health (physical, cultural, economic, etc.) in managing patient care.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of how health issues affect different patients.
• Lead collaborative efforts with the care team, patients, and families in a supportive manner.
• Communicate effectively to ensure culturally sensitive, ethical, and compassionate care decisions.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and comfort measures.
• Foster a positive work environment by mentoring colleagues and students.
• Integrate evidence-based practices in delivering high-quality nursing care tailored to patient needs.
• Maintain a state of alertness and practice safety at all times.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Education:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent educational background for licensing.

Experience:

• No prior experience is required.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent communication through speech.
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Regular lifting of 0-25 lbs and occasional lifting of 25-50 lbs.
• Prolonged sitting, reaching, and data entry.
• Visual acuity for near and far distances and color distinction.
• Auditory abilities to hear alarms and communications.

Licensure and Certifications: Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and a Registered Nurse (RN) license relevant to your state of practice.

Work Schedule: Night shifts, PRN basis.
