WHAT IS MPA, you ask?
Maine People’s Alliance (MPA) is a grassroots organization whose mission is to create a world where everyone has what they need, contributes what they can, and no one is left behind. By forming a community with people from all walks of life, we build power, inspire new leaders, heal divisions—particularly across lines of race—and win campaigns that change what is politically possible.
Why is door-to-door canvassing so important?
Field Organizers canvass, develop, and engage people where they are: at their door, in their community. They are often the first touch people have with our organization. The Field Team's operations motivate and empower new and current members to become more involved in creating political change in our communities together.
MPA is currently hiring FT canvassers to work now through November 6th.
MPA will have thousands of conversations in our communities between now and Election Day about issues that matter most to Mainers. If you want to make an impact during a critical election year, this is the team to join!

· A commitment to fighting for racial, gender, and economic justice.
· An ability to work independently and as part of a team, committed to helping others.
· An ability to work outside in various weather condition

Limited-term positions start immediately and run through Nov. 6th, with opportunity for permanent positions.
Shifts 2:00pm-10:00pm Monday – Friday.
Pay starts at $21 per hour, plus bonuses and paid time off, with potential for advancement. (and you will be part of a UNION!)
