We are currently seeking a skilled Braille Transcription Subcontractor to join our dedicated team on a project basis, providing accurate and timely Braille transcription services for our clients.

Job Description:

As a Braille Transcription Subcontractor, you will be responsible for converting written documents into Braille format, ensuring accessibility for visually impaired individuals. You will collaborate with our project managers to understand specific client needs and deliver high-quality Braille documents.

Responsibilities:

• Transcribe educational, legal, medical, and other documents into Braille, using specialized software and equipment.
• Proofread and ensure accuracy of all Braille documents.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with project managers to clarify transcription requirements and deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Braille transcription with certification from a recognized institution.
• Experience with Braille transcription software and embossing machines.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
• Familiarity with the accessibility standards and requirements related to Braille.
