Job Description

Rydell Auto Center is seeking a Body Shop Metal Technician. The technician performs metal repairs, including disassembling bumper covers and door covers, draining and refilling vehicle fluids, draining and recharging AC systems, and determining if a panel can be repaired or needs replacement. • SIGNING AND/OR RELOCATION BONUS of up to $10,000 based on experience
• Guaranteed salary of $75,000/year for experienced applicants

Responsibilities

• Stay up to date on the latest repair methods and techniques for the vehicles sold and serviced by the dealership
• Perform all metal repairs according to estimate
• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
• Examine vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
• Advise Body Shop Manager if additional work is needed
• Operate all equipment in Body Shop in a safe and productive manner
• Maintain his stall in an orderly and clean manner
• Use discretion in using company materials and supplies
• Ensure customer’s cars are kept clean
• Document all work performed as soon as the job is completed

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age
• 1-2 years of prior body work or shop experience
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• High School Diploma or equivalent
