Bereavement Counselor

This position is a part-time position.

Hospice of Huntington, Inc. is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Bereavement Counselor. This is a part-time or full-time position.

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

• Assessing and providing bereavement support based on bereaved client needs
• Referring clients when needed to appropriate persons/agencies for various social needs
• Participating in community education on grief and bereavement issues.

 

Qualified applicants will:

• Possess a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field required and will be able to obtain licensure in the profession in both Ohio and WV.
• Must have a minimum of 1-year experience in the counseling field and demonstrate evidence of knowledge in understanding grief, bereavement, interpersonal issues and family dynamics.
• Salary is contingent upon experience.
