Audio/Visual (AV) Technician: Set up, operate, and troubleshoot audio/video and associated equipment in support of conferences, teleconferences, and video teleconferences (VTC) in support of the Joint Staff J7, Suffolk Complex. Functions also include the maintenance and upkeep of AV equipment inventory, asset management, media production equipment, and facilities, as well as deployed AV installations at various remote sites. May supervise other AV specialists, including coordinating with outside contractors, at remote sites, providing A/V support to Joint Staff J7-sponsored events. Provides VTC support with ISDN, DVSG, and multiplex systems. Flexible schedule is a must; night and weekend work as required in order to support events. Interact with customers daily, providing expertise in support of AV and VTC operations.

• High school graduate with two (2) years of applicable experience.
• Hands-on experience with various AV and VTC equipment and operations.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral.
• U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
• Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects and assignments.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills in working with a diverse customer base.
• Ability to rapidly respond to immediate requests for technical assistance and coordination of AV/VTC support.

Desired skills and experience

• Creative and professional skills in video productions.
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
