ALLEY BUYER - 2ND SHIFT

General Summary: JBS Pork is looking for a 2nd Shift Alley Buyer in Louisville, Kentucky. This role is responsible for receiving and evaluating the hogs as they arrive to the plant. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, flexible individual.


Responsibilities:

• Receive and evaluate hogs as they arrive at the plant
• Accurately count, weigh, and sort off-quality hogs
• Supervise hourly union workforce in completion of duties
• Complete necessary paperwork
• Comply with relevant laws, rules, and procedures, including P & S and Humane Handling
• Conduct all dealings with internal and external personnel with courtesy and in a professional manner

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to communicate fluently in English (both written and verbally)
• Excellent in conflict resolution and negotiation skills
• Experience in swine industry
• Experience in an agriculture environment
• Basic computer skills required
• Available for 2nd shift

• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
