Job Summary:
"We are looking for a skilled Accessibility Tester & Auditor with 6 8 years of experience to lead
accessibility validation across digital platforms - including websites, web applications, mobile apps, and
documents. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience performing manual and automated
accessibility testing, conducting end-to-end accessibility audits, and producing comprehensive
compliance reports aligned with WCAG 2.1/2.2 and Section 508 standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed accessibility audits of web and mobile applications against WCAG 2.1/2.2,
Section 508, and EN 301 549 standards.
Prepare accessibility conformance reports (ACR), VPATs, and audit documentation
summarizing issues, severity, and remediation guidance.
Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing using industry-standard tools and assistive
technologies such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
Evaluate keyboard-only navigation, color contrast, focus management, and semantic HTML
structure.
Collaborate with design, development, and QA teams to recommend remediation strategies
and validate accessibility fixes.
Develop and maintain accessibility test plans, audit templates, and checklists for consistent
evaluation.
Educate and mentor cross-functional teams on accessible design and coding practices.
Stay current on emerging accessibility guidelines, tools, and best practices.
Optionally participate in client-facing discussions or accessibility workshops.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
6 8 years of overall QA experience, with minimum 3+ years dedicated to accessibility testing
and auditing.
Strong working knowledge of:
o WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, EN 301 549, and ARIA best practices.
o Accessibility auditing methodologies and VPAT/ACR preparation.
Proficiency with accessibility tools such as:
o AXE, WAVE, Accessibility Insights, Lighthouse, Tenon, Siteimprove, Deque tools.
Deep experience using assistive technologies: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack, ZoomText,
Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and semantic web markup for remediation guidance.
Exposure to mobile app accessibility (Android & iOS) and PDF/Document accessibility.
Excellent analytical, report-writing, and communication skills."
